Nottingham Winter Wonderland

If you’re looking for a Christmas Market in the midlands when you’ve got kids, Nottingham should definitely be on your list. It runs from early November right through until New Year’s Eve, so there’s also plenty of time to make the most of the festivities.

There’s plenty of independent sellers offering a wide range of items if you’re looking for a unique Christmas gift, or like us stock up on your cheese ready for those Christmas cheeseboards.

When it comes to food, there is plenty on offer. There are the usual frankfurters, but there is also burgers, hog roasts, noodles, even Yorkshire pudding wraps, as well as lots of sweet treats.

If you’re looking for somewhere cosy to escape the cold, head into Sur La Piste. Each little booth has a heater making it really cosy, and with table service you can literally sit back and relax, if you head upstairs to Altitude you can also enjoy views out over the city.

When it comes to keeping the kids entertained, there’s a carousel, heater skelter, big wheel, toboggan slide for taller kids (and adults) and a little Frozen swing ride for the younger kids. There’s also a few fairground style games, and of course an ice rink for those skaters among us.
